• Nation's first state-run long-term care insurance program about to launch in WA (dailyrecordnews.com) — Washington’s new WA Cares long‑term care insurance program is launching, and advocates highlighted its promise at a recent news conference in Tukwila. Funded by a small payroll tax, it will eventually help eligible workers pay for in‑home care, equipment, and services as they age. Officials say applications are already coming in, though provider networks still need to grow.
