• Driver sought in North Whidbey hit-and-run (whidbeynewstimes.com) — A 39-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run Tuesday morning while walking on Strawberry Point Road near Mariner Beach Road on North Whidbey, and deputies still don’t know who hit him. Island County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who was in the area around 10:30 a.m., or who saw erratic driving, to contact ICOM dispatch or email tips to help identify the driver.
