• Northshore appoints new school board member after vacancy (heraldnet.com) — Woodinville families will now be represented by Dr. Robert Weir, newly appointed to Northshore's District 5 school board seat covering Woodinville and nearby areas. A Northshore parent and Woodinville Rotary member, he brings mental and behavioral health expertise and military service experience. Weir will be sworn in Sept. 14 and plans to run for reelection in 2027.

• Washington residents injured in motorcycle crash near Parma (ktvb.com) — Two Woodinville residents were seriously injured Monday when their motorcycle hit an oil slick and crashed on U.S. 20 near Parma, Idaho. Both were wearing helmets and were taken to local hospitals, one by ground ambulance and one by air. Traffic was blocked for about an hour while emergency crews responded, and the crash remains under investigation.

My kids have been working hard picking berries and making jam and pies. Come out and support these young entrepreneurs!
