Councilmembers debated whether repairing a damaged awning at The Outpost Church counted as beautification or basic maintenance before narrowly voting it down.

• Yelm's Arbor Day celebration is Thursday, 5:30pm at City Park! (yelmcommunity.org) — Yelm residents are invited to celebrate Arbor Day this Thursday, April 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the stage in Yelm City Park, with a backup plan to move indoors to the Community Center if needed. Expect live local music, family-friendly activities, and a chance to gather with neighbors while supporting trees and a greener community.
