• WV Treasurer awards Monongalia County school after student wins essay contest (wboy.com) — Cheat Lake families can celebrate a big win at Cheat Lake Elementary, where kindergartner William Lenhart earned $500 for his future education and another $500 for his school through the statewide Smart 529 essay contest. State Treasurer Larry Pack visited the school Thursday to present the check and encourage families to consider the state’s college savings program.
