• Clarksburg Police Department receives check from WV State Treasurer (wboy.com) — Clarksburg residents should know their police department just received nearly $2,000 from a state-run gun auction to buy new safety gear. State Treasurer Larry Pack delivered the check in person, and Chief Mark Kiddy says the money will go toward bulletproof vests and weapons to better equip local officers.
• 3 transported after wreck on Route 50 in Harrison County (wboy.com) — Emergency crews responded to a serious crash on U.S. Route 50 near Sycamore Road by Wolf Summit, where a silver SUV and truck collided and three people were taken to the hospital. Traffic was being directed around the scene Tuesday afternoon as multiple fire departments, EMS, and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office handled injuries and began investigating. Drivers in the Clarksburg area may still notice related delays or enforcement.
• AIA West Virginia honors Clarksburg native Bill Yoke Jr. with top architecture award (wvnews.com) — A Clarksburg native just earned one of West Virginia’s top architecture honors. Bill Yoke Jr. received the James L. Montgomery Award at AIA West Virginia’s gala in Morgantown, recognizing his long career of service to architects and communities across the state.
