• Follansbee may get federal funds to assist with projects (weirtondailytimes.com) — Follansbee officials are expecting nearly $2.4 million in potential federal appropriations to replace aging fire hydrants, upgrade the police vehicle fleet, and modernize street lighting, especially along Main Street. Mayor Scott McMahon says the city should know by late summer or early fall whether Congress finalizes these awards, and additional requests are still pending with other members of West Virginia’s delegation.
