• Westover Council denies zoning change request following public outcry (dominionpost.com) — Westover City Council has unanimously rejected a zoning change that would have allowed Freedom Collision Center to expand commercial parking behind its Fairmont Road shop, after strong opposition from nearby residents on Savannah Street and Florida Avenue. Council also heard that work on the Dunkard Avenue pump station is nearly finished, with final paving and cleanup expected around early July.
