Bank Robbery suspect, charged in Appleton heist
Daylight, downtown Appleton crime, over in a few minutes with capture of robber.
A Brillion, WI man is in custody in connection with an Appleton bank robbery.
31-year-old Wesley Cox has appeared in Outagamie County court on Thursday, and formally charged.
On May 29th, Appleton police responded to the Chase Bank at 200 W. College Avenue in downtown Appleton around 4:00 p.m. for a robbery in progress

A short time later, Cox was found during a traffic stop in the 900 block of W. Grant Street.
He was taken into custody.

A woman inside the vehicle was interviewed by police and released. She told authorities, while a passenger,
she thought Wesley Cox was making a simple banking transaction, at the time.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Police have recommended charges of resisting and robbery of a financial institution against Cox.
