Popular Chicken Chain Continues To Expand, Including In WI

WAUSAU, WI — Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is continuing to grow its footprint, with plans to open six locations in September, according to reports. A new restaurant is also in the works for Wisconsin, according to the chain's website.

This month, locations are set to open in California, Colorado, Michigan, Oregon and Tennessee, USA Today reported, with three of the six new restaurants — in San Francisco; Saginaw, Michigan; and Gresham, Oregon — marking Raising Cane's first spot in each city.

In addition to the September openings, a new location is listed as "coming soon" to 226422 Rib Mountain Drive in Wausau on the Raising Cane's website.

There were eight Raising Cane’s restaurants in Wisconsin listed on the chain’s website as of Tuesday.

Started in Louisiana 30 years ago, Raising Cane’s is aiming to have over 1,600 U.S. locations and be a top 10 U.S. restaurant brand before 2030, Fast Company reported last month.
