These Are The Best Places To Live In Wisconsin: New Niche Rankings

Niche has produced its "best places" rankings for the ninth consecutive year. It includes 228 cities and 17,932 towns and neighborhoods.

WISCONSIN — Kohler, a Sheboygan County town with a population of 2,072, is the best place to live in Wisconsin. That's according to Niche, a data and analytics platform, that published its "best places to live" rankings for 2023 this week.

It's the ninth consecutive year that Niche has produced the rankings, which include 228 cities and 17,932 towns and neighborhoods across the U.S.

"Living in Kohler offers residents a rural feel and most residents own their homes," notes Niche.

"In Kohler there are a lot of bars, restaurants, and parks. Many retirees live in Kohler and residents tend to be conservative. The public schools in Kohler are highly rated."

Niche also compiled national rankings and found that Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania is the best place to live in the U.S. Meanwhile, Cambridge, Massachusetts topped the "best cities" category.

The overall Best Place to Live in America is Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, which has claimed the title now for four consecutive years. Rounding out the top five are Colonial Village, Virginia; Ardmore, Pennsylvania; Hyde Park-Spanishtown Creek, Florida; and Penn Wynne, Pennsylvania.

Cambridge, Massachusetts, is the Best City to Live in America for the first time ever, Niche said. Rounding out the top five are Arlington, Virginia; The Woodlands, Texas; Naperville, Illinois; and Columbia, Maryland.

The Best Places to Live rankings are a tool to help people find a place to live based on the qualities that matter most to them, Niche said in a news release.

People who want to dig deeper into a specific area can compare cities, suburbs and neighborhoods with specific states, metro areas and counties. Among others, Niche has specialized lists for the best places for families, young professionals, homebuyers ad retirees.
