• Man drowns while trying to rescue injured eagle (wsau.com) — A 72-year-old man drowned in Lake Petenwell in Adams County while trying to rescue an injured eagle near the Browndeer Drive boat launch. After family reported him missing to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, search teams later found his body offshore with rescue equipment nearby. Officials say he became entangled in underwater debris and was not wearing a life jacket.
