• Pilot headed to Minnesota injured in plane crash after experiencing engine trouble (fox9.com) — A pilot attempting to reach Amery Airport after engine trouble crash-landed in a field about 1.5 miles south of the airport on Saturday, suffering non-life-threatening injuries. The single-engine plane had refueled in Menomonie and was headed to Brainerd, Minnesota. Federal investigators are now examining what caused the emergency landing so close to Amery.
