Community Blood Center officials say tornado recovery and fewer donors are straining supplies and urge residents to quickly book appointments at donor centers or mobile drives to help stabilize care across northeast Wisconsin.
   

5. Timber Rattlers alternate jersey sells for $7,505 at charity auction (wbay.com) — In Appleton, a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers alternate "Wisconsin brats" jersey worn by Brewers pitcher Abner Uribe just sold at auction for $7,505, helping raise $15,800 total. Those proceeds will support the team's local reading and sports education programs, while the prized jersey now hangs at Cannonballs Sports Bar, opened last year by the winning bidder and his wife.
