• Dodge County Sheriff Files $1 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Commissioner Morrison, Naqvi (journal-topics.com) — Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt’s federal defamation lawsuit over an alleged detention hoax includes a claim that the woman at the center of the case was dropped at a Holiday Inn in Beaver Dam early March 7. While the legal fight is unfolding in Illinois and federal court, the sheriff is using Beaver Dam locations and records to challenge her story. 
• NWS confirms Walworth County tornado from Wednesday storms (fox6now.com) — A confirmed tornado touched down in Dodge County just south of Beaver Dam around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, part of a severe weather outbreak that spawned six tornadoes across southeast Wisconsin. Another EF1 tornado hit Walworth County Wednesday night, and forecasters are urging residents to use updated radar tools and closing alerts as storm season continues.
