• Shirley Gilles (wwisradio.com) — Black River Falls friends and neighbors are mourning the passing of Shirley Gilles, 91, a Black River Falls High School graduate who grew up locally and raised a large family. Her memorial service will be held Thursday, August 27, at Black River Falls Evangelical Lutheran Church, with visitation in the morning and a luncheon afterward at Castle Hill Supper Club.
