• Brookfield Contractor Accused of Pocketing $25,000 From Nine Clients (newsbreak.com) — A Brookfield-based contractor is accused of taking more than $25,000 from nine Milwaukee-area homeowners for renovation projects that were never finished, and has operated without an active state contractor license since 2022. With multiple business names and unanswered BBB complaints tied to a Brookfield address, the case highlights how local residents can be vulnerable when hiring through neighborhood apps like Nextdoor.
