• Brookfield woman gets jail, probation for burglary, thefts from Legion post (gmtoday.com) — A Brookfield woman has been sentenced to three years of probation and 60 days in jail for stealing cash and checks from the Brookfield American Legion post where she worked and served as Auxiliary treasurer. She's been ordered to avoid all Legion groups statewide and pay $48,000 in restitution, most of which has already been repaid, after admitting to thefts spanning several years.
