Ascension Elmbrook Emergency Department Recognized for Excellence

Four Star Excellence Award

The Emergency Department at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - Elmbrook Campus in Brookfield, was the recent recipient of a Four-Star Excellence Award for Overall Quality of Care from Professional Research Consultants (PRC). PRC's nationally recognized Excellence in Healthcare Awards are presented to organizations that have achieved healthcare excellence throughout the prior year. This designation places the Emergency Department at Ascension Elmbrook in the top 25% nationally.

At Ascension Elmbrook, an interdisciplinary team of registered nurses, Emergency Department health unit coordinators and techs, physicians, and mid-level providers collaborate to create an individualized experience for each patient, meeting their physical and emotional needs, during times of unexpected illness or injury. In addition to providing outstanding bedside care, expert clinical nurses provide coordination of their respective specialties including peer coaching, data management, and successfully leading the way through several specialty surveys including the State of Wisconsin Trauma Care Facility designation and the Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center certification.
