Brookfield Gets a Little Sweeter...Longtime area residents look forward to giving back with Nothing Bundt Cakes
As longtime residents of the southeastern Wisconsin area, owners Mike DeJong and Barb Falk have watched the land develop from corn fields and a mall to a thriving commercial corridor. They both love the lake country and knew it had to be home to a new Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery just as soon as the two sampled their first bite. DeJong shared that he was sold when a friend introduced him to the business. He immediately loved the looks of the bakery, but after he tasted the cake AND found out what a community-driven, charitable brand it was, DeJong said he’d hit the trifecta. “The fact that we get to put smiles on faces each day and be so involved with the community is truly a great thing,” said Mike. And, they can’t wait to start that support beginning with a day to benefit the babies being born in the ProHealth Care Foundation’s birthing center. “To give back in a meaningful way is a gift that Barb and I are especially thrilled to experience.”
