Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) Makes Donation to PPMS
Donation on Behalf of Anonymous Donor

The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF), on behalf of an anonymous donor, presented a check for $2,250 to Pilgrim Park Middle School (PPMS) to go towards the purchase of a Laser Engraver for the PPMS Tech Ed Department.
Beth Dobrzynski, EEF Executive Director, said “I was approached by an anonymous donor who wanted to contribute to the purchase of a laser engraver. When I asked why they wished to remain anonymous, the donor said, ‘There is no limit to the amount of success you can have as long as you don’t care who gets the credit.’ A very special thank you to our donor!”
All 6th grade students utilize the fab lab equipment in their Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing 9-week course. Additionally, the 7th and 8th graders have a variety of courses in the Applied Technology and Engineering strand that they can choose, where this equipment will be an integral part of the learning experience.

Kelly Szesterniak, Principal, Pilgrim Park Middle School, said, “This donation will provide our students with increased access and learning in the elective strand of applied technology and engineering. Students engage in the engineering design process within our elective courses, and with the support of this donation, will have increased capability in bringing their designs to life. This type of learning experience will help students explore future career options and interests, and will help guide their course selection in high school and beyond. We are thankful for this generous donation to our school.”
The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) was organized in 1958 to award scholarships to select Brookfield High School graduates. In 1999, the Foundation's mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative projects that benefit all students. The EEF raises money to support and strengthen outstanding learning ideas that improve the overall educational quality of our public schools. To date, the EEF has awarded over $1,400,000 in scholarships and over $500,000 in grants which enhance and extend the established curriculum and support projects that are beyond the district’s budget.
