Gold In September (G9) and all Wisconsin CycleBars Team Up

Raising Funds for Childhood Cancer Research

Gold In September (G9) is pleased to announce that all CycleBar locations in the State of Wisconsin will be holding Cycle For Gold events to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. For the second year in a row, the flagship event will take place at The Corners of Brookfield. The Brookfield Cycle For Gold event, scheduled for September 7, 2019, will feature a 50-minute ride at both 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. The rides will take place outside in the Market Square. There will also be charity rides at the Madison CycleBar locations in the Hilldale Mall (9:30 a.m.) and Capitol East (10:00 a.m.) on September 7.

The cost to ride is only $25; however, riders who reach specific fundraising levels on behalf of G9 will qualify for one of three fabulous incentives. Those who raise $125 will receive a pair of gold and black Goodr sunglasses; the $250 fundraising level includes a G9 branded Yeti tumbler; and those raising $500 or more will receive a G9 branded ¼ zip shirt.

For individuals unable to ride on September 7, the Mequon CycleBar location will be holding an event on October 5 at 9:15 a.m. There is also a virtual option for non-riders or individuals who cannot participate on-site. “The virtual rider option allows individuals from across the United States to take part in this event and #growGOLD for pediatric cancer,” notes Sarah Bartosz, President of Gold In September. Virtual riders are also able to fundraise on behalf of G9 and qualify for the same incentives.

Every CycleBar in Wisconsin has graciously donated the use of bikes for the G9 charity event, with instructors providing time and talent in support of the G9 mission. In addition to the use of the beautiful Market Square, The Corners of Brookfield is providing digital signage including the large main screens facing Interstate 94 and Bluemound Road, and several digital kiosks throughout the mall.

“We are thrilled by the support of every CycleBar in the State of Wisconsin,” Bartosz comments. “We also are so thankful for the continued partnership with The Corners of Brookfield. This is an amazing way to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and get people to rally behind the G9 vision of raising awareness and funding so that every child, everywhere will survive cancer,” she adds.
