mentor 2.0: a new way to mentor
A Technology-Enriched Mentoring Program for the 21st Century Volunteer!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee (BBBS) is actively seeking volunteers for their mentor2.0 program. This 21st century volunteer experience allows you to mentor a Veritas High School student using planned curriculum to develop their college & career readiness. Mentoring occurs with once weekly online communications and once a month in-person meetings. We seek volunteers with college and career experience for matching with a mentee this fall.
Our current mentors in this program say they feel more connected to their community, have greater job satisfaction and develop leadership skills in the process. Veritas is located on the south side of Milwaukee, on 31st and Oklahoma. 80% of the students identify as Hispanic, and almost all are first generation college graduate hopefuls. If you are looking for a fun and meaningful volunteer experience, this is the program for you!
