Nicolet High School presents "Legally Blonde: The Musical"

Nicolet High School presents its spring musical, Legally Blonde: The Musical, April 14-17 at the Nicolet High School Auditorium, 6701 N Jean Nicolet Rd., Glendale.

An international, award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde: The Musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods (Morgan Karl) as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. In this fun, energy-filled show, Elle appears to have it all until her life is turned upside-down when Warner Huntington (Benny Koziol) dumps her so he can start getting serious and attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle uses her charm to get into Harvard where she struggles with peers and professors. With the help of spunky hairstylist, Paulette (Sona Perlin), and graduate student, Emmett (Evan Johnson), Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

An accomplished cast of 45 students, ranging from freshmen to seniors, bring Legally Blonde to life. Laura Anderle directs the show and the pit orchestra is led by band director Michael McDowell. Impressive song and dance numbers arranged by choreographer Ryan Cappleman and musical director Jennifer Tomlin are sure to blow audiences away. Keep in mind that, although the show is suitable for families, there are references to college parties and some off-color humor.
