• Brookfield police seek driver after pursuit ends in Wauwatosa (wtmj.com) — Brookfield police are asking residents for help identifying a driver who fled a traffic stop on Aug. 23 near 124th and Feerick, then led officers into Wauwatosa before the pursuit was ended for safety. Investigators describe two Black male occupants and say the black Chrysler Sebring, with a Car Castle dealer placard, has recently been seen on Milwaukee's northeast side. Tips can go to Brookfield Police or Waukesha County Crime Stoppers.
   

• Volleyball Recap: Grafton Beats Whitefish Bay for Their Fifth Straight Win (maxpreps.com) — Grafton's volleyball team just swept Whitefish Bay 3-0, extending a dominant home run that now has them 14-1 on the season. For Brookfield families, the key news is that Whitefish Bay's next chance to rebound comes in a tournament matchup against Brookfield Central this Saturday, giving local fans a home-area team to watch and support.
   

• West Allis officer accused of putting his knee on man's neck pleads not guilty (wisn.com) — A police chase involving a damaged, unplated car ended in a crash in Brookfield, where officers arrested one of the fleeing men and allegedly saw a West Allis officer drop his knee onto the man's neck. That officer, Anton Best, has pleaded not guilty to felony misconduct and remains suspended, with his next Waukesha County court date set for October 5.
