SuperFriends Fan Fest Full of Super Wrestlers

Wisconsin wrestling big cheese David Herro might have lost control of Great Lakes Championship Wrestling when he lost to Abyss at Blizzard Brawl last December, but he hasn’t disappeared from the wrestling scene. Next weekend (Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8), Herro presents the SuperFriends Fan Fest in Milwaukee.

This event is going to be a “must attend” for wrestling fans new and old. The wrestling guest lineup is fantastic.

Headlining the group are Hall of Famers “Mean” Gene Okerlund and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Individually, these two had elite careers. Together they are gold. This is a rare opportunity to meet these legends together.

Speaking of rare, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff is making a rare appearance. Aligned with Hulk Hogan or wrestling against him, the Hall of Famer Orndorff was one of the most popular wresters of his era.

”Cowboy” Bob Orton is the middle link of three generations of wrestlers, including current WWE star Randy Orton. The Hall of Famer was also one of biggest stars in the WWF during his run.

The New World Order was as big as it gets. Likewise, having Wolfpac’ers Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman appearing together is also as big as it gets. This trio together is magic.

Al Snow, current TNA star, will be appearing at the PWR booth. Everybody wants Head…and Al, too. Davey Richards, another current TNA star will be there, as will WWE Hall of Famer Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and former WWE star Ricardo Rodriguez

That’s a lot of wrestling legends and a lot of testosterone, but there are plenty of beautiful women to balance out the lineup. Former TNA Knockout ODB will be at the Freaktoyz booth. "BadAzz Barbie" Katie Forbes will be at the Sweeney's Gym booth. Also appearing are TNA Knockout Thea Trinidad and former WWE Diva’s Champion Melina at the Watch Your Own Bobber booth.

Last and certainly not least, Velvet Sky and Angelina Valentine (aka “The Beautiful People”) will be appearing. Having this pair together is another rare opportunity.

There might even be more guests, not that there really needs to be. This lineup is packed with some of the biggest names in wrestling over the last fifty years. Honestly, I’d make the 90 minute drive to Milwaukee (from Chicago) just for Velvet Sky.

The fun doesn’t end with the wrestling superstars. There will be plenty of vendor tables of wrestling merchandise and other fun stuff. You can always find unique things at great prices at these events.

Not to be overlooked is meeting other friend fans. Looking at the list of fans who have committed to attend, I see over twenty friends, many of whom I have met through wrestling and several directly at SuperFriends’ events. #SuperFriends isn’t just a cool hashtag used to sell shirts. It is a true community of friends tied together by the common bond of wrestling.
