• Cedarburg's Landmarks Commission to pursue citywide historic survey (gmtoday.com subscription) — Cedarburg’s Common Council has backed a no-match state grant application so the Landmarks Commission can complete a citywide historic survey of all properties without costing local taxpayers. The survey will catalog buildings and neighborhoods that define Cedarburg’s character, without adding new regulations, and could guide future preservation and development. Council members also approved selling land in the Highway 60 business park for a new spec building.
   

• Biber reflects on week with Packers (gmtoday.com subscription) — Cedarburg native and High School alum Drew Biber recently realized his dream of joining the Green Bay Packers for a week of training camp, including Dream Drive and Family Night at Lambeau. Though an injury elsewhere on the roster led to his release, Biber says his journey from Cedarburg Colts youth football to the Big Ten and the NFL has only strengthened his determination to earn another shot.
