CHS Robotics Team captures state title (gmtoday.com) — Cedarburg High School’s Hexhounds robotics team just captured the Wisconsin state championship and now has only days to raise $60,000 to compete at Worlds in Houston. The community welcomed them home with a police-escorted procession downtown, and residents are invited to help fund their travel and competition costs through the team’s Rocket to Houston campaign.
   

2. CHS senior designs logo for 35th annual Berry Big Run (gmtoday.com) — Cedarburg residents can look ahead to the 35th annual Berry Big Run on June 27 at Centennial Park, featuring a new logo created by Cedarburg High School senior Caitlin Bonneau. The event supports Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs across Ozaukee County, with early registration open through June 5 for runners and walkers of all ages.

This Historic Wisconsin Covered Bridge Feels Like A Step Back In Time (takingthekids.com) — Cedarburg’s historic Covered Bridge on Covered Bridge Road offers residents a rare walk through a 150-year-old, lattice-style wooden span preserved just for pedestrians. Set in a quiet park along Cedar Creek with trails, picnic areas, and open green space, it’s become a year-round spot for photos, history lessons, and slow, reflective strolls that feel like stepping into the 1800s.
   

5. Cedarburg couple survives deadly shooting at Teotihuacan Pyramids in Mexico (tmj4.com) — A Cedarburg couple is back home and safe after narrowly avoiding a deadly shooting at Mexico’s Teotihuacan Pyramids, where one person was killed and several tourists were injured. They described hearing gunfire just minutes after filming atop the pyramid, hiding until the danger passed, then cutting their vacation short to return to Wisconsin.
