• Greater Cedarburg Foundation awards $200,000 in grants, honors Terri Haas (gmtoday.com) — Cedarburg residents will see more than $200,000 invested in local nonprofits, from Summer Sounds and the Cedarburg Cultural Center to Cedarburg High School’s new culinary lab. The Greater Cedarburg Foundation’s largest-ever endowment-funded grant cycle also supports historic preservation, disability services, housing stability, parks restoration, and countywide caregiving programs that touch everyday community life.
   

• How a lone bagpiper honors fallen Wisconsin officers (wtmj.com) — Cedarburg will be one of 22 Wisconsin communities where a lone bagpiper plays Amazing Grace outside the local police department at 11:55 p.m. tonight for the Midnight Piper tribute. The statewide ceremony, led by retired Milwaukee officer Gary Byers, honors fallen law enforcement officers during National Police Week and invites residents to quietly show support.
