Starting May 19, the WIS 47/Richmond Street bridge in Appleton and nearby ramps will close in stages through fall as crews rebuild the interchange into a safer diverging diamond design.
4. Gov. Evers, area Republicans confident legislature will pass $1.8B budget surplus deal (fox11online.com) — De Pere residents could soon see $300–$600 refund checks and more school funding if a new $1.8 billion state budget surplus deal passes the legislature. Gov. Evers and GOP leaders, including Rep. Ben Franklin of De Pere, say they’re confident the compromise—also cutting taxes on tips and overtime—will be approved soon despite Democratic opposition.
