• Aspirus Paramedic Retires After Four Decades of Service (wjjq.com) — A familiar face in Eagle River emergency care, paramedic Dan Halverson is retiring July 4 from Aspirus Eagle River Hospital and Aspirus MedEvac 91 after 40 years of service. He estimates answering over 10,000 ambulance calls, starting thousands of IVs, and even delivering babies, all while mentoring younger EMS staff. In retirement, he’s looking forward to more travel, camping, and family time.
