3. 10-3-26 fdl fire department to host fire prevention week open house (radioplusinfo.com) — Fond du Lac residents can head to the County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Oct. 6, for a free Fire Prevention Week Open House featuring safety demos, equipment tours, and family activities. Fond du Lac Fire Rescue and neighboring departments will highlight safe charging practices and offer hands-on tips to keep homes and neighborhoods safer.

Rural Vitality Grant applications open for nonprofits in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties (dailydodge.com) — Nonprofits serving rural parts of Fond du Lac County can now apply for Rural Vitality Grants of $10,000 to $50,000 through the Fond du Lac Area Foundation and partners. While projects must focus on smaller communities, Fond du Lac–based organizations that serve those areas are encouraged to apply online by Nov. 15.
