Free Showing of "The Help"

The club will watch "The Help" in the clubroom on the lower level. This comedy-drama is adapted from Kathryn Stockett's best-selling novel and has been nominated for and received numerous awards. Set in Jackson, Mississippi during the Civil Rights Era, the film focuses on the writing of a book about the experiences of the black women who work in the homes of the author's friends. Actresses include Viola Davis, Emma Stone, and Jessica Chastain. Non-members are always welcome at club events.
