Our German film for this week is called "Phantom Pain". It is the story of a passionate cyclist who sees his life change in a instant when he loses his left leg after a tragic hit-and-run accident. Barely out of the hospital, he rushes back to his old life and falls in love. This is a contemporary story of physical and emotional struggle and is based on the true story of a Canadian cyclist who was one of the best friends of German director, Matthias Emcke. Join us for a free viewing of this movie in the Library's Community Room.
