Free Showing of "Woman in Gold"

See "Woman in Gold" at 1 p.m., September 23, in the clubroom of the Glendale Senior Citizen's Club, 2600 W. Mill Road.

The 2015 drama “Woman in Gold” will be shown in the Glendale Senior Citizen’s Clubroom on the lower level of Glen Hills Middle School, 2600 W. Mill Road, at 1 p.m., September 23. The movie focuses on an elderly Jewish woman who fled Austria during the Nazi period. She recruits an inexperienced young lawyer to help her get back a painting of her aunt by a famous artist (Gustav Klimt) that was stolen by the Nazis and is now in the possession of the Austrian government. The case was taken to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2004. Helen Mirren, Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Bruhl, and Katie Holmes star in this true story. Nonmembers are always welcome at club events.
