Havenwoods State Forest Superintendent Judy Klippel will discuss the history of the forest at 1:30 p.m., January 13, in the Glendale Senior Citizens’ Clubroom on the lower level of Glen Hills Middle School, 2600 W. Mill Road, Glendale. Over the past 140 years the land use has transformed from immigrant farms to the House of Corrections to a UW Army facility and finally to a 237 acre state forest today.
