Join Milwaukee Art Museum and Kohl's Art Generation's Story Time This Weekend with Guest Author Susan Verde

Art brings the imagination to life, and author Susan Verde has captured that experience in her children’s book The Museum. On Saturday, August 1 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., the Milwaukee Art Museum and Kohl’s Art Generation are hosting Susan Verde for a very special Story Time in the Galleries event.

Verde will share a live reading of The Museum, a story of a young girl who experiences many emotions and inspiration as she tours an art museum. Verde will also speak with kids and families about her background and inspiration for the book. Following the presentation visitors are invited to join her in the Kohl’s Art Generation Studio for an art activity inspired by The Museum. She will also be signing books upon request, available for purchase from the Milwaukee Art Museum store.

Kids and families are welcome to stop by the Kohl’s Art Generation Studio any time to enjoy a fun, interactive space designed to foster an appreciation for art through hands-on projects—which is currently open every day. This space is made possible through $6.3 million from Kohl’s Cares to the Milwaukee Art Museum.
