Parkinson Disease: The Basics and Beyond

If you know someone who has been diagnosed with Parkinson Disease, this free educational program that will be held at Laurel Oaks Senior Community could be beneficial. Our presenter, Jeremy Otte of the Wisconsin Parkinson Association, will discuss important concepts to understand about Parkinson Disease:

· Signs and Symptoms - We will discuss the symptoms of the disease and how they typically manifest themselves.

· Diagnosis - Diagnosis cannot be made with only one test.

· We will discuss the method of the diagnosis and also discuss stages of the disease.

· Treatments - We will discuss the treatment options available to treat Parkinson Disease.

There is life after a Parkinson diagnosis. By focusing on a combination of factors including treatment, support, diet and exercise, you can manage the disease and live a full life for many years to come.
