The closure follows a separate lockdown tied to concerning social media posts, as Franklin police and school leaders work to investigate and strengthen safety measures before reopening Monday.
   

• Milkmen take control of playoff series with Game 3 shutout of Kane County Cougars (dailyherald.com) — A playoff baseball showdown is unfolding right in Franklin, with the Milwaukee Milkmen now leading their East Division Championship Series 2-1 after a 3-0 shutout at Franklin Field. Another home game in Franklin is set for Friday, where the Milkmen can clinch the series and move one step closer to the Miles Wolff Cup.
   

• Police say armed-dangerous suspect arrested safely in Plymouth (sheboyganpress.com) — Franklin residents should know that a suspect wanted by Franklin police over alleged threats against a business has been safely arrested after a coordinated traffic stop in Plymouth. Authorities say no one was hurt, and the person is now in Franklin police custody as the investigation into the reported terroristic threats continues.
