• This prominent Milwaukee-area hotel has been sold out of foreclosure (jsonline.com) — The Holiday Inn Milwaukee Riverfront on Port Washington Road in Glendale has been sold out of foreclosure for $4.46 million to a Wisconsin-based operator, Riverfront Hospitality LLC. City leaders previously rejected converting the former Hilton into student housing, citing its importance as a community gathering spot and source of hotel tax revenue, so residents can expect it to remain a hospitality use under new ownership.
   

• Coats for Kids 2026: Help FOX6 spread warmth Nov. 2 – Dec. 6 (fox6now.com) — Glendale residents can donate new or gently used winter coats at the Landmark Credit Union branch on North Port Washington Road from Nov. 2 through Dec. 6. The Coats for Kids drive, run with FOX6 and The Salvation Army, cleans and distributes every donated coat, and also accepts secure online monetary donations to buy new coats at wholesale prices.

The national ranking, released just before Diwali, spotlights spots known for warm hospitality, classic Indian dishes, and Himalayan specialties like momos, giving locals another reason to try this neighborhood favorite.
