• Four people, including 2 teens, in custody after early morning Glendale shootout (tmj4.com) — An early-morning shootout near North Sidney Place and West Green Tree Road in Glendale left one person with non-life-threatening injuries and four people in custody, including two local adults. Glendale police say the gunfire erupted during an attempted vehicle theft around 1:47 a.m. and are asking anyone with video of the incident to contact them as the investigation continues.

• Dual enrollment programs are boosting UWM enrollment and graduation rates (uwm.edu subscription) — High school students in the Milwaukee area, including those at suburban schools in Glendale, are using UWM dual enrollment programs to earn free college credits and boost their odds of graduating. The story follows one student’s path from high school to UWM and explains how concurrent courses in local schools are expanding access, especially for underrepresented students.
