Background:
Green Bay, like the rest of the country, is facing a record shortage of poll workers this year due to the coronavirus. Our democracy depends on ordinary people who make sure elections run smoothly and everyone's vote is counted. Poll workers make sure we have a safe, fair, efficient election for all.
The tele-town hall will be conducted via telephone and videocast.
The event will include a bilingual English/Spanish call-in option. A moderator will provide questions to the general audience that will involve them in question and answer. The Q & A will be formatted electronically (by dialing in through keypad responses) and will open up the forum at the end for a moderated Q & A.
The tele-town hall event will be focused on inviting any eligible elector in Brown County who is interested in becoming a poll worker. We are inviting 1st time poll workers, naturalized U.S. Citizens, bilingual language speakers, those in general good health, high school, and college-aged students. The tele-town hall partnered with local community groups who are interested in supporting poll worker recruitment in Green Bay and Brown County.
