Assistant Prof Hillhouse and three UWGB Psychology undergraduate students (Paige Anderson, Peyton Koppenhaver, and Taylor Kegen) published an article on how the opioid receptor system contributes to the antidepressant effects, but not the side effects, of ketamine. This article provides a novel mechanism that can be used in the development of novel antidepressant drugs.
