Greendale Step Up To Health Fun Run And Walk Returns Sunday
After going virtual last year, Greendale's Step Up To Better Health Fun run and walk is planned to return Sunday.
GREENDALE, WI — The Greendale Step Up To Better Health Fun Run and Walk is back on and in-person for 2021 after going virtual last year. The event helps raise funds for Greendale schools each year.
Since 2009, the 5K fun run and two-mile walk has routinely raised $10,000 per year in support of Greendale schools, according to the event page. The money can help fund schools and prevent fundraisers that rely on candy or other unhealthy items.
The event also brings competition. Schools from around Greendale can compete to see who has the most participants. A traveling trophy is awarded to the school with the most. Top runners also receive prizes, the event page said.
