Johnson, who faces felony charges tied to alleged misuse of department surveillance cameras during his divorce. The Police and Fire Commission has reviewed the city's statement of charges and is moving toward scheduling a hearing, while Johnson remains on administrative leave and his criminal case continues in court.
• 9 people say this Brookfield contractor scammed them. He's still taking jobs. (jsonline.com) — A Greenfield resident is among at least nine people across the Milwaukee area who say a Brookfield contractor took thousands of dollars for home projects he never finished. After pushing authorities, she helped secure a misdemeanor conviction and restitution order, and is now warning neighbors to be cautious about unlicensed contractors advertising on Nextdoor and similar sites.
• Milwaukee MCTS budget gap, route cuts possible; blind riders concerned (fox6now.com) — A Greenfield resident who is visually impaired fears proposed Milwaukee County Transit System route reductions could make it much harder to reach work, services, and daily necessities. MCTS faces a $15 million budget gap and is gathering public feedback on two service concepts, including changes to Route 18 that advocates say could hurt blind and visually impaired workers.
