In my opinion, there's nothing more rewarding than helping others. It's a chance to live the golden rule of treating others as you would like to be treated. When I tell people I work at Golden Living Center Heritage Square, they often ask me what they can do to help people who come for rehabilitation after a serious surgery or illness.
So here it is: please consider voluteering with the activities that bring people joy, so they can get reenergized. Every day clients at Golden Living get rest from their therapies and can choose a variety of activites to participate in. Some of the most popular activities they choose are most exciting when there are lots of helping hands and smiling faces involved.
Offering your support to people during a game of bingo, a craft, a community outting or by listening to their rich histories during a room visit are ways you can make a difference in our community!
