Hales Corners, WI, USA - October 13, 2015 - Local artist Beth Stoddard has a selection of landscape and floral oil paintings on display and available for sale October 16 - November 8 2015 in the Garden House at the Boerner Botanical Gardens. Three groups of paintings feature sky-filled landscapes of Whitnall Park, autumnal views of the Root River Parkway, and carefully observed floral sketches on paper. Ms. Stoddard’s work explores the contrapuntal concerns of faithful representation and abstract surface qualities, while her painterly touch balances suggestion and description. Displayed in the Boerner Botanical Garden’s Garden House, these paintings are on view during the Garden’s open hours, as well as during a Meet the Artist opportunity on Saturday October 17th from 10am - 12pm.
