GREENFIELD, WI — The Greenfield Police Department released new video Thursday from a shooting that left one suspect dead and a Greenfield officer critically injured on Aug. 22.

Leading up to the shooting, Greenfield Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle at 35th and Oklahoma Avenue. The vehicle refused to stop and fled police, starting a pursuit. Eventually, the car crashed at 27th and Becher streets.

Officers responded to the scene of multiple wrecked vehicles, the video shows.

The video then shows officers ordering a man in the crashed car, the one police were chasing, to exit his car. Gunshots suddenly ring out from the vehicle, and multiple officers open fire. The suspect ran out of the car, continuing to shoot. The shots struck one male officer three times, according to police.

The suspect ran into the yard of a nearby home. He was later pronounced dead on the scene, according to police. In the video, police officers began first aid on the officer who was shot. They applied a belt to his visibly bleeding leg. He was then brought to the hospital, police previously said.
