GREENFIELD, WI — The Dan Jansen Family Fest Ice Rink at Konkel Park in Greenfield is now open for the season, the city posted to its website.

The rink's hours are weather dependent, meaning any Wisconsin winter heat waves may spell some issues for those looking to skate. For updates on the rink's hours, the city says to visit the rink's Facebook page.

Prior to the opening date announcement, the city's recreation department won a grant that would allow it to purchase new skates that can be lent out for free at the rink. Bringing your own skates if possible is recommended, though, as the free skates are on a first-come-first-served basis.
