Authorities Identify Man, 35, Who Died In Accident

ST. CROIX COUNTY, WI -- Authorities in St. Croix County have identified a 35-year-old Hudson man who died in a vehicle accident on the night of March 27.

On Monday, the St. Croix County Sheriff's office said Brian T. Foster, 35, of Hudson was driving his 2011 Ford Focus south on Highway 35. Investigating officers said Foster passed another vehicle at a high rate of speed, and veered into the road's west guardrail.

Investigators said Foster's vehicle went airborne, landed back on the guardrail and struck a tree, where it came to a stop.

According to officials, Foster was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul by the Life Link helicopter. He died on Thursday, April 4 due to his injuries, hospital staff confirmed.

Police say Foster was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, and that accident may have been a possible factor in the crash.
