Osteoporosis, once thought to be a natural part of aging among women, is no longer considered age or gender-dependent. It is largely preventable due to the remarkable progress in research. Exercise, nutrition and medical treatment all play an important role in preventing or delaying onset. During this seminar, Dr. Severson will discuss risks, prevention, diagnosis and treatment for osteoporosis. Participants will also be introduved to the bone densitometry scanning process. Hudson Hospital Rehabilitation Center staff will also provide information and helpful exercises to prevent osteoporosis. Learn more at this free health seminar.
