Hudson Natives Help Create Video Game That's Now a Finalist at E3 Competition

Two Hudson natives who are studying at UW-Stout in Menomonie had a hand in creating a video game that has been named as a finalist in the Electronic Entertainment Expo's (E3) first-ever College Game Competition, according to a press release issued by the university.
Reece Blaiser and Grace Zwiefelhofer, both of Hudson, are studying game design and development at UW-Stout, and both served as artists on Flash Frozen — a survival horror game that they helped create along with other members of their senior 3D Game Design class.
From the press release:
A total of 12 students developed Flash Frozen in the senior 3D Game Design class taught by Diane Christie and Dave Beck. Christie is director of the game design and development undergraduate program; Beck is the program’s art coordinator.
“It is a remarkable milestone for a game to be in the top five and be created by students from a program that is only four years old,” Christie said.
