Hudson Police Blotter: Porta Potty Burned at Anderson Park

Burning Porta Potty: A paper deliver person called police at about 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, to report a fire at Anderson Park (900 Mont Croix Dr.). When police arrived and met with the fire chief, the officer found a burning base of a portable toilet. The surrounding grass, fence were also scortched. Damages are estimated at about $1,000.
Drink and Dash: An employee of The Agave Kitchen called police at about 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, to report that a male customer had left the restaurant without paying his $17.11 bar tab. The suspect was confronted by police the owner of the establishment, who offered to issue the man an "I Owe You." According to the report, the man extended his middle finger and swore at the officers and the owner. The owner then changed his mind and asked to pursue theft charges against the man.
Stolen Laptop: A Hudson man reported that on July 19, between midnight and 1 a.m., a laptop and external hard drive were taken from his unlocked vehicle parked on 13th Street near Ward Avenue. The property is valued at about $500.
